The Nursing Student Tutoring, Ambassadorship & Mentorship Programs (NSTAMP) is a student-led association that was established in 2019. In collaboration with the School of Nursing, Calumet College and Stong College, NSTAMP assists incoming and current Second-Entry, Collaborative, and Internationally Educated Nursing students.
We have four different academic committees consisting of Peer Mentors, Peer Tutors, Lab Facilitators and Nursing Student Ambassadors. Our Peer Mentors guide incoming students and Peer Tutors assist incoming and current students. Lab Facilitators assist in hosting lab sessions to ensure we all are offered a platform to brush up and practice our nursing skills, especially since clinical placements are currently on hold.
Our Ambassador Committee and the rest of the team have exciting events planned for you! We are planning events as per your requests and needs! Some of our future events include addressing anti-racism, organizing a fitness and nutrition workshop series to ensure we all are staying active and healthy, and to give our mental health a boost in these challenging times. Back by popular demand, we are also working to facilitate the event Battle of the Brains on an online platform to ensure we are keeping up to date with our nursing knowledge in a friendly competitive environment.
Lastly, we are constantly working to ensure we assist all our nursing students to prepare for NCLEX by posting questions on our social media, hosting events, and collaborating with reliable sources known to be helpful for students. So, make sure to keep up to date with all our upcoming events!
